Stuck, something not working as expected, or have an idea for the app? Send a message through the contact form. The form is in Dutch: fill in your name (Naam), your email address (E-mailadres) and your message (Bericht). Writing in English is fine. Please mention which iPhone and Apple TV you have, which versions of iOS and tvOS they run and what exactly happens.

- An Apple TV with tvOS 26 or later
- Both signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID
Carrousel is one app for iPhone and Apple TV. Install it on both.
Getting started
- Open Carrousel on the Apple TV. If the Apple TV isn't signed in to iCloud yet, do so in Settings › Users and Accounts. The TV registers itself as "New Apple TV".
- Open Carrousel on the iPhone and give the Apple TV a name, for example the room it's in. The name also appears on the TV.
- Tap + and choose photos. They then appear on the Apple TV automatically.

Frequently asked questions
My Apple TV doesn't show up on the iPhone
Check that the Apple TV and the iPhone are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID, and open Carrousel once on the Apple TV. If you see "iCloud Unavailable", check the internet connection, and whether iCloud is restricted by Screen Time or a management profile.
My photos don't appear on the TV
Photos first go from the iPhone to iCloud. Keep the app open until the upload is done. If an upload fails, the photo shows it and you can retry. If it says "iCloud storage is full", free up space in iCloud. The Apple TV fetches each photo just before showing it, so the first time can take a moment.
I have more than one Apple TV
Each Apple TV has its own photos and settings. At the top of the iPhone app you choose which TV you're managing. Use Move To to put a photo on another TV. The interval, shuffle and name are set per TV, in Settings › Apple TVs.
How do I invite a housemate?
Swipe down on the Apple TV. A QR code appears, which disappears by itself after 2 minutes. Your housemate scans it with the iPhone camera and joins with their own Apple ID. If they don't have Carrousel yet, they install the app first and then scan the code again.
People who join can see and add photos for all your Apple TVs. Only show the code to people you trust; a photo of the screen works too. Photos added by housemates are stored in your iCloud and count toward your storage.
To stop a TV from showing the QR code, turn it off in Settings › Apple TVs › [name] › Show QR Code. A housemate can leave in Settings › Leave Shared Library.
How do I remove an Apple TV?
In Settings › Apple TVs › [name] › Remove Apple TV. You then choose whether its photos move to another Apple TV or are deleted. The Apple TV stops showing photos; with Connect Again it registers again, as a new Apple TV.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the photos in the app first. Deleting only the app leaves your data in iCloud. You can also remove it from your iCloud storage in the Settings app. See the privacy policy for more.
